The Glacier RePhoto Project is building a comprehensive, open-source geospatial inventory of repeat photography stations. Our mission is to unite a century of scattered glacier repeat photographs into a single, accessible, and scientifically robust database.
The project currently documents over 300 stations and more than 1,700 photographs, with ongoing expansion into glaciated regions worldwide. We provide precise station locations and attributes that researchers, educators, and the public can use to study and visualize the effects of climate change on glaciers.
View and explore the glacier repeat photography database. Interact with the map to locate photo stations, examine specific camera views and image details, and explore the visual record of glacier change. Note: Images shown in the viewer are unaligned archival versions and may differ in frame and scale. [ Open Map Viewer]
